couples retreat

ok this day was seriously so fun! way back in may i bought a groupon for this couples retreat at the provo ropes course (one of my best ideas to date) and a couple weeks ago kyle and i finally went. it was a blast! it was like being at camp again. we played fun games, did some rock climbing, went canoeing, took a ride on a giant swing, did the zipline, climbed a wire ladder and walked cables 40ft in the air, had yummy costa vida for dinner, hung out with some fun people, and had an awesome time.

this was our opening activity. using spaghetti noodles, marshmallows, a cup and a little tape we had to build the tallest free standing structure that we could. look at that teamwork.

 also note: the other hands you see in this picture belong to one of the other couples at our table, a lesbian couple. definitely a rarity in provo utah. but they were cool. almost all the other couples had been married for a while and had a ton of kids and then there was the couple that were on their first date--maybe a little awkward when we did the worksheets about our relationships??

the giant swing. this was my favorite of the day. you got hauled way into the air on this swing and then they let it go! and you just dropped (like stomach in your throat rollercoaster feeling) and then flew into the air and swung back and forth. so fun.

yup i would definitely say the couples retreat brought us closer together:)
